First Aid/CPR/AED
A requirement to get a Captain’s License is to pass a First Aid class and CPR/AED class. US Maritime Academy Chicago is certified by The National Safety Council to teach the First Aid and CPR/AED classes. We take pride in using the most up to date information to prepare you to save lives by applying what you learn in our class. We use CPR mannequins to give you the real feel of chest compressions and rescue breathing. The state of the art AED simulator works just like a real one, except the shock, to teach you what to do in an emergency.
The First Aid and CPR/AED Class is typically offered following the Spring and Fall Captains Classes. Special classes can also be arranged—please feel free to contact us to set up a class that works for you.
